2026-Mar-09 Blog#1: Recent Work

When I first purchased the truck, I had this infrequent issue where I'd hear a clunk, which was then accompanied by super loud scraping and grinding.

It eventually came back a couple weeks ago after being absent the entire winter. It rather conviniently came back right as I was driving home; about to pass my mechanic. He took a look at it and I was fearing the worst based on the noises i was hearing. Thankfully enough, though, it would turn out that my passenger side E-Brake had decided to essentially explode. Was a fairly easy and cheap fix, but since he had to order the parts, he just ended up ripping out the E-Brake assembly and sending me on my way free of charge. Got the parts by friday of that week, and I ended up getting charged about $130ish after everything was said and done, so it was quite a cheap and easy fix after all.

Pretty happy to not have chunks of metal grinding in between my shoes and my rotor drum now, much nicer on the ears.

Anyways Folks, that's all for now! Take care.
